DANCE TUTOR

Nice Swan Academy of Performing and Dramatic Arts in the North East is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and committed part-time Dance Tutor to join our ever expanding team. We are a friendly, well-established Theatre School, that is now in its 16th Year running a busy timetable from our studios in Gateshead. 
 

At Nice Swan Academy, we believe in nurturing confidence, creativity, and a love of Performing Arts. Our welcoming and inclusive theatre school offers a range of children’s classes designed to make performing fun, accessible, and empowering. 
 

What you’ll do?

• Lead fun, energetic dance classes for children of different ages 

• Teach foundational skills in a range of dance styles both on a one to one basis and in larger groups

• Create a positive, inclusive studio environment

• Plan weekly lessons and choreograph routines to support performances and showcases 

• Communicate and collaborate well with other tutors and team members. 

 

What we’re looking for?

• Experience teaching dance to young people

• Background in one or more dance styles 

• Friendly, patient and engaging personality and approach

• Strong communication skills 

• Punctual, professional and passionate about performing arts and working with children

• Enhanced DBS (we are able to support an application if not)

• Dance teaching qualifications a bonus but not essential.
